Championship Side Plymouth Appoint Wayne Rooney As New Manager

It is Rooney's first managerial role since he was sacked by Birmingham City earlier this year.

The 38-year-old lasted less than three months in that role, winning just two of 15 games in charge.

Plymouth only survived relegation to League One on the final day of the season and will be hoping Rooney provides them with some much needed impetus next season.

Plymouth will be Rooney's fourth managerial role after Derby County, DC United and Birmingham City.
