Ronaldo Ruled Out Of 'Last Dance' Game Against Messi Due To Injury

The match dubbed 'The Last Dance' would have seen the renewal of one of football's greatest rivalries one more time.

But Ronaldo will not get the chance to face his old nemesis due to injury.

Al Nassr had to cancel two friendly games in China last week because of Ronaldo's injury.

'Ronaldo is in the final part of his recovery to join the group,' Al Nassr manager Luis Castro told reporters.

'We hope that in the next few days you can start working with the team. He will be absent from the game.'

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United while Messi chose Major League Soccer side Inter Miami as his next destination when his two-year stay at Paris Saint Germain ended last summer.

Over the course of their respective distinguished careers, Messi and Ronaldo have faced each other 36 times with the Argentine winning 16 of those and the Portuguese coming out on top on 11 occasions.

They have also won the highly-coveted Ballon D'or award 13 times between them, with Messi edging Ronaldo 8-5.
