Marta is looking to play at her sixth Olympic Games this summer in Paris.

The 38-year-old has two silver medals from the Olympic games and has also featured at the Women's World Cup six times.

She has never won the Women's World Cup, coming closest as a runner up in 2007.

Marta has won six FIFA Women's world player of the year awards, including five times in a row from 2006 to 2010.

"If I go to the Olympics, I will enjoy every moment, because, regardless of whether I go to the Olympics or not, this is my last year with the national team," Marta told CNN in an interview on Thursday.

"There will be no more Marta from 2025 in the national team as an athlete.

"I am very calm about this, because I see with great optimism this development that we are having in relation to young athletes."

Marta is the all-time top scorer in Women's international football with 116 goals in 175 caps for Brazil.

She currently plays for USA side Orlando Pride.
