Wolves Fear Pedro Neto Will Miss Rest Of Season With Hamstring Injury

Neto was replaced at half time in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham in the Premier League last weekend after picking up the injury.

The 24-year-old Portugal international was not among the squad when Wolves were beaten 3-2 by Coventry in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.

Manager Gary O'Neil revealed afterwards that Wolves fans might have seen the last of Neto for this season.

The former Lazio man already missed two months of action earlier this season with another hamstring injury.

‘Pedro, potentially, it’s the end of the season for him,’ O’Neil said.

‘It’s very similar to the injury he suffered on the other side.

‘There’s a chance he comes back for the last couple (games), maybe, if it goes really well.’

Pushed further on the injury, O’Neil said: ‘It’s similar to the last injury, which was around nine weeks, so potentially around that time frame.

‘The rehab can go differently, so it could be quicker or slightly longer. We’ll see how it goes.’

Neto has scored three goals and produced 10 assists in 23 appearances across all competitions this season.
