Super Sub Duran Extends Aston Villa Contract Until 2030
Aston Villa's super sub striker Jhon Duran has extended his contract at the club until the summer of 2030.
Duran has scored four goals off the bench in the Premier League this season, including winners against Everton and West Ham United.
The 20-year-old Colombia international also scored the only goal of the game after coming on as a substitute in last week's UEFA Champions League win over Bayern Munich.
Duran joined Aston Villa from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire in January 2023 and scored five goals in 23 Premier League appearances last season.
Duran's previous contract was due to expire in the summer of 2028.
He was heavily courted by Chelsea and West Ham United in this summer's transfer window.
Aston Villa are currently fifth on the Premier League table after drawing 0-0 with Manchester United over the weekend.
