Southampton Close In On Ivan Juric As New Manager
Southampton are close to appointing Ivan Juric as their new manager.
The Saints, who are bottom of the Premier League after taking just five points all season, sacked Russel Martin on Sunday after a 5-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs.
The club's u-21 manager Simon Rusk was placed in interim charge for Wednesday's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
Southampton's next league match is away at Fulham on Sunday.
Juric was most recently in charge of AS Roma, where he lasted just 12 games before getting sacked.
The 49-year-old Croat counts Torino, Genoa and Hellas Verona among his former clubs.
