Ruben Dias Adds To Man City's Long Injury List
Manchester City's injury situation has worsened after Ruben Dias was ruled out for up to a month.
Dias soldiered on despite picking up a muscular issue after 75 minutes in last Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
The 27-year-old Portugal defender has featured 19 times for Manchester City this season.
Manager Pep Guardiola is having to contend with a raft of injuries to his squad this term that has seen Ballon D'or holder Rodri ruled out for the rest of the season while the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Ake, Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji and Mateo Kovacic have also spent time on the treatment table.
"It's a muscular problem and he will be out for three to four weeks," Guardiola said of Dias in the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game at Aston Villa.
"After 75 minutes against United he felt something. But he's so strong and wanted to stay on the pitch. Now he's injured."
Manchester City are on a wretched run of form, having won just once in their last 11 matches across all competitions.
