Reece James Back In Chelsea Training Ahead Of Liverpool Clash
Chelsea have announced that captain Reece James is back in first team training.
James is yet to feature competitively under Enzo Maresca after missing the start of the season through a combination of suspension and injury.
In 10 Premier League appearances last term, James picked up two red cards, with his second in the penultimate game of the season resulting in a four-game ban which saw him miss the first three games of the 2024/2025 campaign.
He then picked up a hamstring injury in training and had been sidelined since.
Ahead of facing Liverpool at Anfield this weekend, Chelsea have been boosted by the news that their captain is back training with his teammates.
James made 26 Premier League appearances in the 2021/2022 season but has only featured a further 26 times in the three ensuing campaigns.
He played a key role in helping Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League in 2021.
