Double Delight For Chelsea As Palmer And Maresca Claim Premier League Monthly Awards
Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been voted the Premier League's player of the month for September.
Palmer scored five goals in four top flight games last month and provided one assist.
His goals included a history-making four-goal haul in the first half of a 4-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer came out on top in an eight-man shortlist that also included Harvey Barnes, Ryan Gravenberch, Raul Jimenez, Ollie Watkins, Dwight McNeil, Luis Diaz and Gabriel Magalhaes.
It is the second time Palmer has won this award, having also done so in April 2024.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca also beat Arne Slot, Unai Emery, Mikel Arteta and Marco Silva to manager of the month for September.
The Italian led Chelsea to three wins and a draw in four games.
"We had a very good month," he said. "We all need people around us to make things better. I'm very grateful to have all of them [his staff].
"We are always looking at new things and how we can improve from different football and different countries."
