Marco Reus Joins LA Galaxy After Dortmund Departure
Marco Reus has joined Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Reus ended his 12-year stint with Borussia Dortmund at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
His final game for the Black and Yellows was the 2024 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
He scored 171 goals in 426 games for Dortmund, winning two DFB-Pokals and two German Super Cups.
LA Galaxy have not won the MLS title since 2014 but are currently top of the Western Conference.
"For Marco, a two-time Bundesliga Footballer of the Year, to join the Galaxy after playing his entire career in Germany is a testament to the project we are continuing to build at the club," LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz said.
Galaxy coach Greg Vanney added: "He is a proven winner and leader whose talent and vision for the game will integrate seamlessly into the group as we prepare for the restart of the league and the run into the playoffs."
