Leicester Seal Permanent Signing Of Abdul Fatawu From Sporting Lisbon
Leicester City have sealed the permanent signing of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee.
Fatawu spent last season on loan at the King Power Stadium, making 43 appearances across all competitions and scoring seven goals.
The 20-year-old also chipped in with 13 assists in the Championship as Leicester earned promotion to the Premier League under Enzo Maresca.
The Ghana international will now get the chance to test himself in the Premier League under new Liecester boss Steve Cooper after Maresca joined Chelsea.
Fatawu has signed a five-year contract.
Speaking to the club's official site Fatawu said: “I feel amazing. It’s so good to be back and I’m just back to focus again for next season.
"I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League. It’s something new to me.
"I’m going to go hard for that, with the team. I can’t wait to see [my team-mates]. I’ve missed them so much.
"They are like a family now. I didn’t think I’d miss some of them, but when I went away, I was really missing them!"
