Luis Boa Morte To Become New Manager Of Guinea-Bissau
Luis Boa Morte will leave his role as a first team coach at Fulham to become the new manager of Guinea-Bissau at the end of the season.
The former Portugal international has been part of Marco Silva's backroom staff since the summer of 2021.
Boa Morte, who played for the Cottagers as well as Arsenal and West Ham United, has previously been a manager at at fourth tier Portuguese side Sintrense.
"Everyone at Fulham would like to thank Boa for his efforts since his return to the Club, and wishes him the best of luck in this next chapter when he departs following our season finale away to Luton Town," Fulham said in a statement.
Guinea-Bissau are minnows in African football and finished bottom of their group at the recent AFCON in Ivory Coast.
They are currently ranked 118th by FIFA and have only played at the Africa Cup of Nations four times.
