Van De Beek Joins Frankfurt On Loan From Man Utd For Rest Of Season
Donny Van De Beek has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.
Van De Beek has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since signing from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2020.
The 26-year-old Netherlands international has made 62 appearances in his time at the Red Devils and scored two goals.
This season, he has been limited to just two appearances but will be looking to get some much needed game time with the Bundesliga club.
This will be Van De Beek's second loan spell away from Manchester United, having also signed temporarily for Everton in the second half of the 2021/2022 campaign.
Eintracht sports director Markus Krosche expressed his delight after confirming Van de Beek's arrival on Monday morning, telling the club's official website: “Donny van de Beek fits our game idea perfectly and is an important piece of the puzzle for our team. He brings a wealth of international experience that our young players will benefit from. Donny exudes a goal-scoring threat and, above all, should put our attackers in promising positions.”
Frankfurt, who are sixth on the Bundesliga standings, have the option to make the move permanent for £12m at the end of the campaign.
