Udogie Ruled Out For Rest Of Season, Doubtful For EURO 2024
Tottenham Hotspurs have announced that defender Destiny Udogie will miss the rest of the season with a thigh injury.
Udogie has made 30 appearances across all competitions in his first season in North London, scoring two goals and providing three assists from left back.
The 21-year-old Italy international has caught the eye with his energetic performances and his absence will be a huge blow to Tottenham's quest to secure a top four finish.
Udogie is also a huge doubt to feature at this summer's European Championships as a result of the injury.
Spurs said in a statement on their website: “We can confirm that Destiny Udogie has undergone surgery to his left quadriceps, having sustained an injury in training earlier this week.
“The defender will continue his rehabilitation with our medical staff and is expected to rejoin the squad during pre-season.”
Udogie added in a post on Instagram: “An injury brings my season to an early end.”
“It doesn’t take away from how grateful I am to every person that has supported me this year.”
Udogie signed for Spurs from Udinese in the summer of 2022 and spent last season on loan at the Serie A club.
