Tchouameni Urges France To Use Germany Defeat As A Wake-Up Call
Aurelien Tchouameni has urged France to use their International friendly defeat to Germany as a wake-up call ahead of this summer's European Championship.
France were beaten 2-0 by the EURO 2024 hosts at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday.
The 2018 World Cup winners went behind after just seven seconds through Florian Wirtz's long range effort while Kai Havertz added a second right after the break.
Tchouameni conceded that France were second best in every department after the game and wants lessons to be learnt going forward.
"I think we were outclassed in every department," Tchouameni told French TV network TF1.
"We couldn't put our game plan in place. We came up against a great team. We need to do better, individually and collectively.
"It's a wake-up call, but there's no need to overreact either. We are aware of and confident in our qualities."
France will get the chance to put things right when they take on Chile in another friendly game on Tuesday.
