Palmer, Saka Among Eight Nominees For October Player Of The Month Award
Chelsea forward Cole Palmer and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka are among eight nominees for the October Premier League player of the month award.
Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo, Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels and striker Chris Wood, Danny Welbeck, Facundo Buonanotte and Josko Gvardiol complete the list.
Palmer, who won the award in September, was once again instrumental in October, scoring one goal and providing one assist in three matches for Chelsea.
Saka played just twice in the top flight for Arsenal in October but still registered two goals and two assists for the Gunners.
Welbeck struck three times in as many games for Brighton, including the winner in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspurs.
Wood scored the most goals in October with four for Forest, who ended the month in seventh place.
Forest were indebted to Sels for their unbeaten run last month as he made 14 saves and kept one clean sheet in his three games.
Mbuemo scored three more goals for Brentford in October, taking his tally to eight for the season, only behind Erling Haaland in the golden boot race.
Croatia defender Gvardiol helped Manchester City win all three matches in October, scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers and helping keeping one clean sheet.
Buonanotte scored two goals for Leicester City as the Foxes won their first two games of the season since their return to the top flight.
