Besiktas Rip Up Bailly Contract After Eight Games
Eric Bailly has had his contract with Besiktas ripped up after just eight games.
The Ivory Coast defender was one of five players who were exiled by the club at the start of December due to poor performances.
Bailly only joined Besiktas in September as a free agent after seven years on the books of Manchester United.
He spent last season on loan at Olympique Marseille before his Old Trafford contract was cancelled with one year still to run.
Bailly then joined the Turkish giants on a one-year contract but just less than four months later he is on the move again.
One of his former clubs, Villarreal, is reportedly interested in bringing him back.
A curt statement from Besiktas read: "The contract with Eric Bailly, the player of our first team, has been terminated by mutual agreement.
"We wish Eric Bailly success in his career. Regards. Besiktas JK"
Bailly has won 49 caps for Ivory Coast and was a key member of their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad.
