The two sides meet in Dublin to decide the destination of UEFA's second club competition trophy.

Leverkusen have recently been crowned champions of the German Bundesliga and are still unbeaten across 51 games in all competitions.

Atalanta will be playing in their first ever European final as they bid to end a 61-year trophy drought.

De Roon is nursing an injury and will miss the game as a result but the Dutchman is full of hope that Xabi Alonso's side will fall at the Aviva Stadium.

"Every team is beatable. At the moment, [Leverkusen] seem unbeatable, but maybe we are the ones who can change that," he said in the pre-match press conference.

"We have to believe in our philosophy, play attacking football and try to beat them. You don't win a trophy if you don't beat the best.

"We have had a great campaign, and we fully deserve to be here. Both sides deserve to be playing this final. Let's see who will manage to lift the trophy.
