Lazio Appoint Igor Tudor As Maurizio Sarri's Replacement
Former Croatia defender Igor Tudor is the new manager of Lazio.
Tudor replaces Maurizio Sarri, who resigned last week after losing five of his last six games in charge.
Giovanni Martusciello stepped in on an interim basis last week and guided Lazio to a 3-2 win at Frosinone over the weekend.
A short statement from Lazio on their official website read: "SS Lazio announces that Igor Tudor, starting today, will assume the role of manager of the first team."
Tudor last coached Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1 in the 2022/2023 season, leading them to third position.
The 45-year-old has also managed Udinese, Hellas Verona and Galatasaray in the past.
Tudor's first game in charge of Lazio will come against Juventus after the international break.
