Aston Villa Lose Boubacar Kamara To ACL Injury For Rest Of Season

Kamara,24, suffered the injury in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

After Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia, Kamara is the third Villa player to suffer an ACL injury this season.

Defender Diego Carlos has also been ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

"When they are injured for a long time, it's the worst in football," Villa manager Unai Emery said on Friday.

"It's more difficult for the player, as a person, when they are injured.

"We've had two injuries for a long time, for all the season, with Buendia and Mings.

"Now it's the same for Kamara. Maybe, more or less, in September or October he is coming back."

Kamara, who joined Villa from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2022 and has five caps for the France national team, has made 34 appearances and scored one goal this season.

Aston Villa are fifth on the Premier League table and visit Fulham on Saturday.
