Amadou Onana Completes £50m From Everton To Aston Villa
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Amadou Onana from Everton.
Unai Emery's side have parted with £50m to sign the 22-year-old Belgium midfielder.
Onana joined Everton from Lille for £33m in the summer of 2022 and made 72 appearances during his time at Goodison Park, scoring four goals.
Aston Villa will play Champions League football next season after finishing fourth in the 2023/2024 campaign.
Onana's arrival will help fill the void left by the departure of Douglas Luiz to Juventus.
Aston Villa have now made eight summer signings, with Onana joining the likes of Ian Maatsen, Enzo Barrenechea, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin, Ross Barkley, Cameron Archer and Jaden Philogene.
Onana has won 17 caps for the Belgium national team, including four appearances at EURO 2024.
