AC Milan Announce Paulo Fonseca As New Manager
AC Milan have named Paulo Fonseca as the club's new manager.
Fonseca has signed a three-year contract at the San Siro.
The 51-year-old Portuguese was recently in charge of French Ligue 1 side Lille, where he stayed for two seasons.
After five years with Stefano Pioli in charge, AC Milan opted for a mutual parting of ways following a distant second place finish in Serie A last season.
The club confirmed the news on their website, writing: "AC Milan can confirm that Paulo Fonseca has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Men's First Team.
"The Portuguese coach now joins AC Milan on a three-year contract.
"The Club would like to wish Paulo and his staff a warm welcome."
Fonseca previously coached in Serie A for two years between 2019 and 2021 at AS Roma.
