'We Have To Keep Going'- Odegaard Backs Arsenal To Recover From European Disappointment
Martin Odegaard has backed Arsenal to bounce back strongly from their Champions League exit ahead of resuming their title charge.
The Gunners lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in their quarterfinal return leg on Wednesday after the first leg ended 2-2.
Mikel Arteta's side have now lost their last two games, surrendering top spot to Manchester City in the Premier League ahead of a crucial visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
With Manchester City burdened with FA Cup commitments this weekend, Arsenal have the chance to reclaim to spot with a win.
“I mean it takes a little bit to get going again, but I think what you play for in the league is enough motivation for all of us,” Odegaard said after Joshua Kimmich's second half header sent Bayern Munich into the semi-finals.
“So we just have to stick together, get back up, and keep pushing. We can still do something very special.
“I think that is enough motivation to just keep going, keep working hard and pushing each other. We have to keep going.
“Every game now is so important, it has been for a while. It has been so tight and so competitive.”
