Napoli Complete Signing Of David Neres From Benfica
Brazil winger David Neres has joined Napoli from Benfica for £23.8m.
Neres spent the last two seasons in Portugal, winning one league title and the Portuguese Super Cup.
The 27-year-old moved to Europe in 2017 from Sao Paulo, joining Ajax Amsterdam and scoring 47 goals in 180 appearances.
He won three Dutch League titles before his move to Benfica.
Neres has been capped eight times by Brazil and was part of the Selecao squad that won the Copa America in 2019.
Napoli are looking to push on from their disappointing 10th place finish in Serie A last season.
They started the new campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Hellas Verona over the weekend and welcome Bologna to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday.
