Osimhen Completes Loan Move To Galatasaray From Napoli
Turkish champions Galatasaray have completed the loan signing of Victor Osimhen from Napoli for the rest of the season.
Napoli have also extended the Nigeria international's contract to the summer of 2027.
Osimhen had fallen out with the Napoli hierarchy and had been excluded from the squad for the season.
Having seen proposed moves to Chelsea and Al Ahli fall through last week, Turkey represented the most obvious route for Osimhen to play regular football as their transfer window remains open until September 18.
A statement released by Napoli read: "SSC Napoli announces that it has temporarily transferred the sporting performances of the footballer Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray until 30 June 2025. At the same time, the Club has reached an agreement with the player for an option, in its favour, to renew the contract until June 30, 2027."
The official statement from the Turkish giants read: "An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Victor James Osimhen and his club SSCN Napoli SPA for the temporary transfer of the player free of charge. The football player will be paid a net seasonal salary of €6m for the 2024-2025 season."
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020 and has made 133 appearances, scoring 76 goals.
His 26 Serie A goals helped Napoli win their first league title since 1990 in the 2022/2023 season.
