Ancelotti Picks Courtois To Start In Goal In Champions League Final

Courtois, who has not been picked by Belgium for the upcoming European Championships, has played just four times for Real Madrid this season.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper has struggled with two serious knee injuries this season.

Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has played the majority of Real Madrid's games but has contracted flu in the build-up to the biggest game of the season.

“Lunin has had the flu,” Ancelotti said at a press conference on Friday. “He's going to travel.

“He is going to be on the bench of course and, yes, Thibaut Courtois is going to be in goal tomorrow."

In a post on social media, Lunin said: "I am very sad to say that I won't be able to prepare for the most important game of the season and the most important game of my life with my team.

"Many thanks for the messages of support and encouragement!"

Real Madrid will win their 15th Champions League trophy if they overcome Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
