Salah appeared to take issue with Klopp's decision to introduce him as a late substitute in a 2-2 draw at West Ham United.

The pair exchanged a few words on the touchline and Salah stoked the flames after the game by telling reporters: "If I speak, there will be fire."

But Klopp, who will leave his post as Liverpool manager at the end of the season, considers the matter closed.

"It is completely resolved. It is no problem," Klopp reiterated in his press conference prior to Liverpool hosting Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League on Sunday.

"If we didn't know each other for that long I don't know how we would deal with it, but we've known each other for that long and we respect each other.

"I think we have the right to deal with these things completely independent of any expectations from the outside. It is a non-story. In general, everyone is in the best possible place.

"If we win the games and score loads of goals, then the situation would not have been exactly like that because Mo would not have been on the bench in the first place."

Salah is Liverpool's top scorer with 24 goals across all competitions this season.

Liverpool's title challenge has fizzled out in the latter stages of the campaign, leaving Manchester City and Arsenal to battle it out for the Premier League crown.
