Jorginho Believes Title-Chasing Arsenal Are More Matured Compared To Last Season
Jorginho believes title-chasing Arsenal have a more matured team compared to last season.
The Gunners secured another big win on the road on Monday, smashing relegation-threatened Sheffield United by six goals to nil.
Arsenal have now won all their seven Premier League games this year by an aggregate score of 31-3.
Mikel Arteta's side topped the table for 248 days last season but fell away in the final weeks of the campaign as Manchester City took full advantage.
Arsenal are firmly in the mix for the title once again this term, with Monday's win over the Blades closing the gap on leaders Liverpool to two points.
“The performance of the squad (was great) and the mentality to start strong and carry on the momentum,” Jorginho said.
“It was really, really good to see a team playing forward and want to keep going.”
Asked what is different about the team this year compared to the one that just fell short last season, the Italy international added: “I think the maturity.
“We are way more mature how we compete and how we manage the games. I think that’s it.”
Arsenal host Brentford in the Premier League this weekend as Liverpool and Manchester City also face off at Anfield.
