Feyenoord Boss Arne Slot Wants Liverpool Job
Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has confirmed he wants to become Liverpool's next manager.
In recent days, Slot has risen to the top of the list of candidates to replace Jurgen Klopp when the German leaves his role at the end of the season.
The 45-year-old has been in charge of Feyenoord since the summer of 2021 and has won one Eredivisie title and one Dutch Cup.
Liverpool have made contact with Feyenoord regarding their manager and it is understood a compensation fee of £7m will be enough to price Slot away.
Slot has however confirmed he is interested in taking over the hot seat at Anfield.
"The only thing I can say about it is that the clubs are in negotiations," Slot said to ESPN Netherlands.
"And then you sit in the waiting room and wait for what will come out.
"It seems clear to me that I would like to go to Liverpool. Now I'm waiting to see whether the clubs reach an agreement. I'm very confident in that."
