Chelsea Hold Positive Talks With Leicester Boss Maresca Over Managerial Vacancy
Chelsea have held positive talks with Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca over the club's vacant managerial position.
The Blues are looking for a new manager after Mauricio Pochettino left the club by mutual consent last week.
Maresca joined Leicester City following their relegation from the Premier League last summer but has guided them back into the top flight at the first time of asking.
The 44-year-old was part of Pep Guardiola's coaching staff at Manchester City before joining the Foxes.
Maresca had spells as a player at Juventus, Sevilla, Olympiacos, Malaga and West Bromwich Albion.
The Italian has also held a coaching role at West Ham United when Manuel Pellegrini was in charge at the London Stadium.
Chelsea are also keeping an eye on recently departed Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi as well as Brentford boss Thomas Frank.
Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League this season but will play in the Europa Conference League next term following Manchester United's victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
