Arteta Agrees New Arsenal Contract Until 2027
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new contract at the club until the summer of 2027.
Arteta was appointed as manager at the Emirates Stadium in December 2019, replacing compatriot Unai Emery in the role.
His previous contract would have expired at the end of this season.
Arteta's only trophy during his time in charge of Arsenal has been the FA Cup in 2020.
Arsenal have run perennial champions Manchester City close in the last two campaigns as they chase a first Premier League title since 2004, but they have ultimately finished second on both occasions.
This season, the Gunners have two wins and a draw from their opening three games ahead of visiting North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday.
Arteta, who had been linked with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain in recent months, will be hoping to end Arsenal's long Premier League drought this season.
