Thiago Injured Again After First Appearance In 10 Months
Thiago Alcantara is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury on his return to competitive action.
Thiago was an 85th minute substitute in Liverpool's 3-1 defeat at Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
That was his first appearance for Jurgen Klopp's side in almost ten months due to injury and it could well be his last appearance for the club.
Before the Arsenal game, Thiago's previous appearance for Liverpool came against West Ham United in April last year.
It is unspecified how long Thiago will be out for but his contract at Anfield runs out this summer.
The former Spain international was a £20m signing from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020 but Thiago has been restricted to 98 appearances during his time at Anfield.
Thiago joins Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah on the sidelines.
Liverpool will host Burnley in their next game on Saturday in the Premier League.
