Pedri Urges Barcelona To Sign Nico Williams
Pedri has urged Barcelona to push forward with a move to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.
Williams has been one of the standout players for Spain at the ongoing European Championships in Germany.
The 21-year-old has tallied a goal and an assist so far at the finals and his energy down the left of the Spain attack has been commendable.
Williams has been the subject of transfer speculations in recent days, with the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona reportedly looking to make a move.
His international teammate Pedri is however keen for him to remain in Spain and join the Blaugrana.
"We don't talk about it much. It's a decision that he and Barca have to make," the midfielder said.
"Yes, it's clear that he would be a spectacular signing.
"We're already seeing what he's doing at the Euros. Hopefully he can be with us, but we don't know yet because he has a contract with Athletic.
"Whatever has to happen, will happen."
Williams and Pedri will be looking to get the better of Germany in Friday's quarterfinal clash.
