Lisandro Martinez Ruled Out For Two Months With Knee Injury
The prognosis for Lisandro Martinez's knee injury is a two-month lay off.
Martinez left the field in the second half of Manchester United's 3-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday following a coming together with Vladimir Coufal.
Martinez had just recently returned from a four-month lay off with a foot injury.
Martinez missed 22 games with the foot injury earlier this season, and played four times after making a return against Tottenham Hotspurs on January 14 before this latest setback.
“Lisandro Martinez has sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee and is expected to be out of action for at least eight weeks,” a club statement read.
“The Argentine defender left the field in the 71st minute of our 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
“We all wish Licha a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the pitch later in the season.”
