Juventus Swoop For Nico Gonzalez From Fiorentina
Argentina forward Nico Gonzalez has joined Juventus on loan from Fiorentina with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
Juventus are paying €8m for the season-long loan deal and a further €33m to make the move permanent next summer.
The 26-year-old has spent the last three seasons with Fiorentina, having joined from Stuttgart in the summer of 2021.
He has helped them reach the Conference League finals in each of the last two campaigns but have lost both to West Ham United and Olympiacos.
Gonzalez scored 16 goals across all competitions last season as Fiorentina finished eighth in Serie A.
“I’m very happy to be here wearing this shirt. It was a dream for me and my family. I’m so happy, I can’t really say anything else,” Gonzalez said following his move from Fiorentina.
“When you are young, you have to dream big. Getting to this team means everything to me. I can’t wait to get on the pitch and play with the team.”
“I will do everything I can to win every match. I will always give 100% until the end.”
Gonzalez has won 39 caps for the Argentina national team and was part of the squad that won the Copa America this summer.
