Joelinton, who is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, was at Saint James' Park with his family when he received a security alert on his phone warning of a break-in at his home.

There was no one around when the incident took place.

"Thankfully the homeowner was not home but had received a security alert on their phone and immediately reported concerns to police. Police were deployed to the scene however, those alleged to be involved had fled the scene.
