Foden Leaves England Camp To Attend To Birth Of Third Child
The Football Association have announced that Phil Foden has been granted permission to temporarily leave the England camp in Germany to attend to a pressing family issue back home.
It is understood that Foden is attending the birth of his third child with his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke.
Foden is expected to return to the England camp before their round of 16 clash against Netherlands or Slovakia on Sunday.
The 24-year-old has started all three of England's games at EURO 2024.
A short statement from the FA read: "Phil Foden has temporarily left the England camp and returned to the UK for a pressing family matter."
England have failed to convince in their group stage games in Germany and Foden, who has 37 caps, is one of the players whose performances have come under scrutiny.
