Fabio Silva Joins Rangers On Loan For Rest Of Season
Wolverhampton Wanderers have sent striker Fabio Silva on loan to Rangers for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old Portuguese forward is Rangers manager Philippe Clement's first signing.
Silva is yet to truly find his feet since joining Wolves from FC Porto for a club record £35m in the summer of 2020.
He has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored one goal.
Last season, Silva spent time on loan at Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven, scoring 15 goals in 46 games.
"I am delighted we have been able to secure the signing of Fabio, he is a highly-rated striker and it is fantastic to have him joining our squad for the remainder of the season," Rangers manager Clement said.
Silva added: "I am very happy, when I spoke to people about Glasgow and about Rangers, everyone told me good things about the club and the history.
"I played here once with Porto in the Europa League, so I already know the warm club, the environment and the stadium, so everything is perfect."
Silva's contract with Wolves will expire in the summer of 2026 but Gary O'Neil's side have the option to extend it by a further year.
