Brighton Suffer Injury Blow With Ansu Fati Ruled Out For Three Months

Fati has missed Brighton's last three matches after limping off 20 minutes into the Seagulls' 3-2 victory at Nottingham Forest on November 25.

Although De Zerbi did not disclose the nature of Fati's injury, it is suspected that the Spaniard is suffering the effects of a hamstring problem.

Fati has scored four goals and provided one assist in 14 appearances across all competitions since signing for Brighton on a one-year loan deal from Barcelona in the summer.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday ahead of Brighton's encounter with Burnley on Saturday, De Zerbi said: "The news about Ansu Fati is, I think he needs three months from the day of the injury.

"It's bad news for us because he was playing better, he was understanding better the idea.

"I'm sorry for him, I'm sorry for the team, especially now when Welbeck is not playing, Enciso is not playing."

Brighton are eighth on the Premier League table going into this weekend's round of action.
