The tournament will be played this summer in the United States of America from June 20 to July 14, 2024.

By his high standards, Casemiro has endured a poor season for Manchester United and was earlier this week told by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher to consider moves to Saudi Arabia or Major League Soccer.

Richarlison has performed better in his second season at Spurs but has struggled with fitness issues this season.

Also missing from the list are Chelsea's veteran defender Thiago Silva and Al-Hilal forward Neymar, who is yet to fully recover from a serious knee injury.

Brazil head coach Dorival Junior has however called up 17-year-old Palmeiras forward Endrick for the tournament.

Another notable absentee is Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus.
