Arsenal moved to within two points of the leaders with the win but Arteta received criticism from some quarters for his antics on the touchline.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville called the Arsenal celebrations immature while ex-Liverpool centre back Jamie Carragher called on the Gunners' players to 'head down the tunnel' as captain Martin Odegaard took pictures with a club photographer.

But Arteta sees nothing wrong with how his side enjoyed their win over a title rival.

Arteta said: "Personally, I love it."

"It brings such a passion and emotion to the game when it's done in a natural and unique way," added the Spaniard.

"I love it. I've seen managers at the Emirates, away [at other stadiums] on their knees inside the pitch. I've seen very big managers going across the touchline in the Premier League.

"I think it's great but it's my opinion and other people may think something different."
