Juventus And Szczesny Agree To Part Ways

Nicknamed 'Tek', Szczesny had been Juventus' number one goalkeeper for the past seven seasons and he still had a year to run on his contract.

Juventus have brought in a new goalkeeper in the shape of Michele Di Gregorio from Monza this summer and Szczesny was deemed surplus to requirements.

The 34-year-old former Arsenal goalkeeper made 252 appearances for Juventus, keeping 103 clean sheets and won three Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia trophies and the Italian Super Cup twice.

"In an instant, Tek conquered the Juventus fans of the world and we are sure that we will all always carry in our hearts the man and the professional who wore our jersey with pride and commitment," Juventus said in a statement.

"Thank you for everything Tek and good luck for the future."

Szczesny, who has won 84 caps for Poland, has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
