Douglas Luiz Joins Juventus In Five-Year Deal From Aston Villa
Juventus have completed the signing of Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz on a five-year contract.
Luiz has joined the Italian giants in a £42m deal after five years at Villa Park.
The 26-year-old scored nine goals and provided five assists in 35 Premier League appearances last season as Aston Villa finished fourth to qualify for the Champions League.
Luiz joined Villa from Manchester City, where he did not make a first team appearance, in the summer of 2019 and went on to make 202 appearances for the club.
"I'm really happy to be a Bianconero," said Luiz in a video on social media.
"I can't wait to play in the Allianz Stadium. See you soon and Forza Juve!"
Juventus finished third in Serie A last season and they have a new manager for next season after Thiago Motta replaced Massimiliano Allegri.
Luiz is currently with the Brazil squad at the ongoing Copa America.
He has been capped 15 times by the Brazil national team.
