Coutinho Rejoins Boyhood Club Vasco Da Gama On Loan From Aston Villa
Philippe Coutinho has rejoined boyhood Brazilian club Vasco Da Gama on loan for one year.
Coutinho is still on the books of Aston Villa and spent last season on loan in Qatar with Al Duhail, where he scored nine goals in 24 appearances.
The 32-year-old joined Villa from Barcelona initially on loan in January 2022 before the move was made permanent that summer for £17m.
However after a bright start at Villa Park, Coutinho lost his spark and position under Unai Emery.
He initially sparkled at Liverpool and earned a £142m move to Barcelona in January 2018.
Coutinho's time at Barcelona also included a loan spell at Bayern Munich, where he won the UEFA Champions League in the 2019/2020 season.
Coutinho has won 68 caps for the Brazil national team, scoring 21 goals.
