Chris Wood Wins October Premier League Player Of The Month
Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood has won the Premier League's player of the month for October.
Wood's four goals were the most by any player in the Premier League last month.
The 32-year-old is the first ever Nottingham Forest player to win player of the month and also the first from New Zealand to do so.
Wood saw off competition from seven other competitors, including Cole Palmer, Danny Welbeck, Matz Sels, Josko Gvardiol, Bryan Mbuemo, Facundo Buonanotte and Bukayo Saka to win the award.
"I'm over the moon with it. It's a fantastic achievement," Wood said.
"It's a credit to all of us and how the team's working. I couldn't have done it without them. They supply me with all the chances, so it's nice that I've been able to tuck them away for them."
Wood is now up to eight goals for the season, just three behind leading scorer Erling Haaland.
