Calvert-Lewin Has Red Card Against Crystal Palace Rescinded
Everton have won their appeal against a red card issued to Dominic Calvert-Lewin in their FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace last week.
Calvert-Lewin was sent off in the 79th minute following a VAR review by referee Chris Kavanagh for a challenge on Nathaniel Clyne.
The game ended goalless and will be replayed next Wednesday at Goodison Park.
Calvert-Lewin was set to miss the replay as well as Premier League games against Aston Villa and Fulham but will now be available for those fixtures.
A statement from the FA read: “Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be available for Everton’s next three games following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal.
“The striker was sent off for serious foul play in the Emirates FA Cup game against Crystal Palace on Thursday, January 4 2024.”
Calvert-Lewin has scored four goals in 20 games for Everton this season.
