Chelsea paid Brighton and Hove Albion an initial £100m to beat Liverpool to the signing of Caicedo last summer.

The 22-year-old struggled to replicate his performances with the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge in his 48 appearances across all competitions as Chelsea finished sixth under Mauricio Pochettino.

Caicedo eventually found some form in the latter stages of the campaign and registered three assists and one goal by the end of the season.

"The beginning was tough for me, because you are at a big club, the price, you always have to win every game," Caicedo said.

"It was tough for me because when I was in Brighton, the pressure is less.

"At Chelsea, it is different. I felt a lot of pressure because you know the club, the history, the players who were there.

"But after the last four or five months, I felt more comfortable at the club."
