Brighton Sign Gambia Winger Yankuba Minteh From Newcastle Utd For £30m

The 19-year-old has agreed a contract until the summer of 2029.

Minteh joined Newcastle from Danish side Odense last summer but was immediately loaned to Feyenoord, where he scored 10 goals in 27 Eredivisie appearances.

"Yankuba is a young talent that has attracted a lot of interest, so we're delighted to welcome him to the club," said Brighton technical director David Weir.

"He is an exciting attacking player with incredible speed. He had a very impressive campaign with Feyenoord, gaining experience in both the Champions League and Europa League," added Weir.

"Now we will give him the time and support he needs to ensure that he settles in."

Minteh has been capped seven times by the Gambia national team, scoring three goals.
