‘We Got What We Deserved' - Rodgers Admits After Leicester City Defeat Against West Ham United

Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers has admitted his side deserved to be beaten 3-0 at home against West Ham United on Sunday.

The Foxes’ perfect start to the season surprisingly came to an end at the King Power Stadium as goals from Michail Antonio, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen condemned Rodgers’ men to their first Premier League defeat of the season.

Rodgers admitted that Leicester City were lethargic against David Moyes’ men and insists they lacked the guile to find star striker Jamie Vardy.

“We were nowhere near it today. West Ham were excellent. You need to be good at counter-press to stop them counter-attack and we weren't good enough,” the former Liverpool and Celtic boss told Sky Sports after game.

“Technically we weren't at the level either. Too many passes going out of play. We got what we deserved.

"We could never make the last pass or find the quality to give Jamie (Vardy) the service he needs.”

“Our attacking structure wasn't very good. We missed Dannis Praet and James Maddison who give us that bit of quality."

Rodgers revealed that there will not be new signings at the King Power Stadium.

He added: “There might be some movements out, for players to go and get games. We wanted to bring in one or two players but the market is difficult for us this window. We are happy with what we have got."
