Allegri Confirms Pogba Return Against Monza, McKennie Set To Leave

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed Paul Pogba will make his long-awaited return against Monza on Sunday but Weston McKennie is on his way out of the club.

Pogba is yet to feature for the Old Lady since returning for a second spell on a free transfer from Manchester United last summer.

The Frenchman suffered a knee injury in pre-season which ruled him out for the start of the 2022/2023 campaign.

A setback to his recovery in October ruled Pogba out of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar but he returned to training at the start of the year.

Ahead of Sunday's game against Monza, Allegri has announced Pogba and Dusan Vlahovic, who has not played since the restart because of injury will be available for selection.

"They're fine. They did good [in] training, a good test the other day," Allegri said.

"Vlahovic's condition is better than Pogba's, also just as a physical structure, but Paul in recent days has come ahead.

"If a player is called up, he can play. Of course, they don't have 60 minutes in their legs, they'll have 30 at most."

One player who will not feature on Sunday is McKennie and Allegri confirmed a deal has been struck with another club, reportedly Leeds United, for him to leave.

"There is an agreement between the clubs, then I don't know if it will go through," Allegri added.

"He's a player on the market, so it doesn't seem right and normal to bring him [for this game]."

Juventus find themselves in an unfamiliar 11th position after being docked 15 points for financial irregularities.
